E-DIAGNOSE OVERVIEW

EvoD is a web-resource that offers access to evolutionary diagnosis (EvoD) predictions for human exome variants. EvoD utilizes an efficient predictive statistical model that draws from fundamental evolutionary properties of amino acid changes, including measures of the biochemical severity and evolutionary probability of the amino acid change, as well as multilevel taxonomic evolutionary rates (ultra-, well- and less- conserved) and time spans of the position affected (Kumar et al., 2015). Alongside EvoD results, other commonly used diagnosis methods, including PolyPhen and Sift, as well as evolutionary time span, substitution rate, and Grantham distance are provided.
